Poshmark Closet Signs – What Are They?
Have you been scrolling Poshmark closets and come across cute signs that have just text on them?
Some advertise sales, or state that the Posher accepts all reasonable offers.
Still, some signs break the closet up into sections such as “New Arrivals,” “Women’s,” “Men’s” and so forth.

Canva! (Get a FREE premium element when you sign up through this link!)
If you haven’t heard of Canva before, it’s a website where you can create beautiful graph designs to your heart’s content.
It’s super easy to use and the best part is…..it’s free!
(There is a paid version, but the free version has plenty to choose from. You also get one free premium element when you sign up through this link!)
I’ll walk you through the steps to create your own Poshmark closet signs using Canva.
(Note: Canva does have an app, but I find that it’s pretty glitchy. It’s easiest to make graphics from your computer and that’s what I’ve included directions for here.)
Want a video version of how to make your own Poshmark Closet signs? Check this out:
Step 1: Create a Canva account
Just head here to create your free account.
(Yes, there are icons, photos, fonts and such that you can pay for but I stick with the free options….there’s plenty to choose from.)
You’ll want an account as this is the place where all of your designs are saved. They are nice to come back to and start new designs from when you want new signs for example.
Step 2: Click “Create a design” button
Once you’ve got your account set up, next, click the “Create a design” button at the top right of the page.
You’ll want to select “Instagram Post” as this is the square size you’ll need to create your Poshmark closet sign. (If you don’t see it there, type Instagram in the search bar.)
Step 3: Design away!
Start from pre-made templates, or create your own design.
You’ll find buttons on the left side of the page with everything you need such as text, photos, icons and backgrounds.
If you’d like to make a set of matching signs, just click the “duplicate page” button right above your image you’re making.
Step 4: Save Your Image(s)
With your completed image(s), now you just need to save them to your computer.
Click the “Download” button at the top right.
Make sure it’s set to “PNG” and click the download button once again.
Step 5: Add Your New Closet Sign To Poshmark
Now that you’ve got your image downloaded, you just need to add it to your Poshmark closet.
In Poshmark, go to create a new listing.
Instead of uploading images for an item you are selling, upload your Poshmark closet sign.
Set the price to $0 and click the button to list.
Your new Poshmark Closet sign is now added to your closet!
Tips For Using Your Poshmark Closet Signs
Here are some tips for creating and using your Poshmark closet signs:
- Use large text
- Avoid having text where the words “Not for sale” appear so they don’t overlap like this:
- Space out your closet signs throughout your closet to give your closet visual interest to shoppers.
- To use organization signs (Tops, Bottoms, Men’s, etc), you’ll want to share all tops, then share the Poshmark closet sign for tops. Make sure you’re “Sort by” is set to “Just Shared.”
